PROVENANCE.
An e-mail from the daughter, Gladys Krafft Davies, revealed that this
piece was sold to Keith Vacoter from Cedar Radpids, Ia. at the Oak park
Studio for $10 in 1917. The piece was painted in 1914 as a sketch for
the larger 24 x 27. This is a MOST BEAUTIFULL piece by Krafft. It is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. Kraffts paintings have sold for as much as $70,000 at auction.As you can see ours is PRICED BELOW MARKET. Here we are offering an OIL on Canvasboard measuring 8 x 6 inches BEAUTIFULLY FRAMED to 13 x 11 inches depicting an IMPRESSIONISTIC American Landscape. BIOGRAPHY 1884-1938 Midwestern painter, known for his decorative landscapes and genre paintings of rural Illinois and the Ozarks. Krafft painted at the Brown County art colony before traveling to the Ozarks of south-central Missouri in the summer of 1914. He and friend Rudolph F.
